I'm sure I've mentioned before that for some reason, I see the days of the week lined up as colored squares, and when you tell me how old you are, I see it light up within a hopscotch-style pattern. Naturally, when I saw this grid below the title, "Seize the Day", it stoked my curiosity.
Author Derek Lin
explains that the grid is a layout of a typical desktop, one-year
calendar with columns representing days of the month and rows,
representing the months of the year and asks, "How many more grids do
you have?" He confides that facing the grid is a sobering experience for
him because with each passing day a square is crossed out and it's
evident that nothing will bring that day back. Good reason to Seize the
Day.
