There's a nest right across the front door of our studio that has been the birth site of at least six doves. This IS a dove, right?
Inspired by a story of another dove couple, I've decided our Kona birds should have Hawaiian names: Kane and Wahine Manu. Quick and easy. Man and Woman Bird.
They've picked a perfect spot that's shielded from the heat of the day but just a hop down to the railing gives them a view of our beautiful sunsets. The humans that pass some three feet away often don't even see them. Those that do notice, can't help but say, "Awwwww, how sweet."
Maybe the parade of big-bellied women coming to yoga has something to do with it.
