To find bigger oceans, you must not be afraid to lose sight of the shore.

Krista and baby James (in utero), went swimming with the dolphins and whales last week. The dolphins approvingly swam around them as the whales sang back-up.
There was a time at Kona Yoga, when Moku, Krista and I held weekly meetings to talk about our ambitions, wants and needs. These days we seem to bump into each other for briefings, like ants do as they go to and from the hill. There's greater energy and expansion.
Krista is expecting James' birth in late May; Moku is up early for his daily gym workouts and weekly paragliding; Don has opened another camera store in Maui; and I'm spending a lot of time writing and defining my HeartRise practice. All of this, in addition to our expanded individual practices and yoga classes.
When I think back to our lunch meetings, we're all doing exactly what we wanted to. We've made adjustments along the way, for sure, but the steady beat of doing what we love has sustained and nurtured us.
On July 3, 2005, I was moving into a little cottage on Donkey Mill Road in Keauhou. I put my favorite books on a bookshelf in the bedroom and twice that day, the same book fell off the shelf, splat - spread open. The third time it happened I thought I should at least read what was on the open page:
As you are reading this book, you are at the perfect point for beginning a new life experience, for as you receive that which we have offered here, your perspective will be forevermore altered....In the history of man upon this planet, there has never been a time that has offered the potential for more joyous creating. And since you are joy seeking beings, there is great contentment that is before you.
I wrote the date on the page with a little note to myself about the book falling off the shelf and all. When I went looking for a quote to match the photo above, I reached for this book and my scribbled note caught my eye. That message is as appropriate today as it was then, as even more growth and joyful experiences await us.
Come talk to us if it's not happening for you, yet. Or, keep this picture in mind and expect great joy (Krista), spread out and move freely through life while respecting and allowing others to do the same (dolphins) and keep a joyful sound in your heart (whales).
Mahalo to:
